Our Annual Conference is fast approaching! As you make your final preparations, here is some helpful information for your arrival:
Ground Transportation
Our Conference will take place on the campus of the University of Texas at Dallas. The Hymn Society does not have any arrangements for providing transportation between any airports and the University. However, we can offer some recommendations on how to get to the campus:
- Ridesharing: Apps such as Uber or Lyft can facilitate transportation between any airport and the school.
- Airport shuttles: SuperShuttle offers services from DFW and DAL.
- Taxi
- Carpool: If you would like to arrange a carpool or share an Uber/Lyft from an airport or nearby city you’re driving from, you can use this free service to arrange those details. Please note that this is not a service that The Hymn Society is managing or arranging, but rather we are providing a forum for organization. (For Uber/Lyft/Taxi services, please put “UBER/LYFT” or something like that in the “notes” section).
Check-In and in-person registration schedule
Sunday, July 14 2:00-6:00 pm
If you arrive after 6:00 pm on Sunday, the residence hall staff can still check you in to your room for the night. Check-In/Registration will reopen on Monday, July 15 at 8:00 am.
Check-In and in-person registration location
Look for the building “Residence Hall South” at the address 2801 Rutford Ave, Richardson, TX 75080. This is where our on-campus housing is located as well as on-time and late check-in, which will occur in the Rotunda.
Parking
Go to Lot “T” at the address: 3000 Synergy Park Blvd, Richardson, TX 75080. Parking is purchased via the registration site. You can pick up your parking permit when you arrive at registration.
Opening Hymn Festival
If you are arriving late on Sunday and need to go straight to the opening hymn festival, that’s just fine! You will be able to store your luggage securely at the church and then ride the buses back to campus with everyone at the conclusion of the festival. The festival begins at 7:30 pm and is at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church at 9200 Inwood Rd, Dallas, TX 75220.
